Word from the Director General of ANAES

In my capacity as the Director General of the National Agency for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Establishments (ANAES), I would like to extend a warm welcome to our website: [www.anaes.ml](http://www.anaes.ml).

Under the impetus of the Ministry of Health, the Government adopted Ordinance No. 2022-005/PT-RM on February 22, 2022, establishing ANAES to replace the National Agency for the Evaluation of Hospitals (ANEH).

This ordinance was ratified by Law No. 2022-015 of June 23, 2022.

The highest authorities in our country, through this creation, aimed to take into account all public and private health establishments in terms of evaluation and accreditation. This aligns perfectly with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) policy of promoting the quality of health care and services.

As the culmination of a quality approach in healthcare establishments is accreditation, ANAES, through its regular evaluations, ensures that public and private healthcare establishments meet quality standards.

Through this website, the Agency aims to expand its online presence, communicate and make visible its missions and actions. It also aims to make its contact with the outside world easy, inform about the Agency’s news, the health sector, and its partners.

I hope that you, as users (healthcare structures, partners), will benefit to the fullest from an interactive and dynamic exchange platform.

Our Mission

ANAES’s mission is to ensure the evaluation and accreditation of health establishments.

In this capacity, it is responsible for:

conducting external evaluations of health establishments regarding the quality of care, cost control, and the impact in terms of public health and medico-economic;
evaluating health establishments for their classification at the reference level in the healthcare system;
promoting the development of the evaluation of care and professional practices within health establishments;
providing technical advice to health establishments;
establishing and implementing accreditation procedures for health establishments;
proposing accreditation of health establishments to the Minister responsible for health;
proposing to the Minister responsible for health the subscription and withdrawal of subscriptions to public insurance organizations;
providing the Minister responsible for health with any advice it deems useful to enable health establishments to better fulfill their missions.
